Auditions for the youth musical production of Thoroughly Modern Millie will take place on:
SATURDAY 23rd JUNE at 1.30pm
HARLEQUIN THEATRE, REDHILL
Genesis Productions are looking for 100 children (boys & girls) aged between 8 and 18, who would love to appear in this full-scale, all singing, all dancing musical production. Auditions are free, and all rehearsals will take place in the Reigate / Redhill area, so it's a local production for local children, with four performances at the Harlequin Theatre in Redhill. This professional production is the Junior version of the show, so chorus parts are ideal for younger children also.
AUDITIONS
Auditions take place on Saturday 23rd June at the Harlequin Theatre with many lead roles and chorus parts required.
To audition, REGISTER your interest and arrive at the Harlequin at 1.15pm (foyer). PLEASE BRING PLENTY OF WATER (and snacks if you are staying on for leading role auditions).
1.30 - 3.30pm - EVERYONE REQUIRED (chorus and leading roles - ages 8 - 18)
Children will be taught songs and dances from the show
3.30 - 5.30pm - LEAD ROLES and SPEAKING ROLES ONLY (ages 10+)
Those auditioning for speaking and leading roles will need to stay until 5.30.
SINGING (for those wishing to audition for lead roles) - You will be asked to sing a section of the song learned earlier by yourself
DRAMA - you will be given a short script from the play and asked to prepare and act it out with other children
This is a thrilling and entertaining spoof, with large singing and dancing parts, comedy character parts, dashing men and evil personalities.
