ADULT DANCE & FITNESS CLASSES

Although a large part of our dance school is dedicated to children and teenagers,  we dont' forget that us adults need some "ME TIME." Our dance and fitness classes concentrate on making fitness interesting, challenging and fun, with an artisitic element to all our classes. We love the saying.....

"It takes an athlete to dance, but an artist to be a dancer."

 

Our dedicated adult classes cater for both beginner and intermediate men and women.

 

Please note we do not offer 3 free trials for our adult classes, but we do offer flexible payment rates for adults who cannot attend every week. 

We have 4 options available for adults:

PURE - BALLET

Beginner and Intermediate ballet classes taught by an ex-Royal Ballet trained dancer who delivers our classes in a fun and engaging way.

BEGINNER adult ballet classes

 If you would like to keep in shape through your love of ballet, try our adult beginners BALLET class.

 

 Our Beginner's class will be taught by ex-Royal Ballet trained Rachael Bond, and will offer the basic introduction to the balletic technique with some strengthening and stretching exercises to enhance the movements further. 

We have an additional 7.00 - 7.30pm starter session prior to the beginner class starting at 7pm, which aims to break down some of the steps and exercises.

INTERMEDIATE adult ballet classes

 If you would like to keep in shape through your love of ballet, try our adult intermediate BALLET class.

 

 This class is most suited for adults who have had some previous dancing experience, and would like to re-kindle their passion for dance.

Day: Tuesdays

Time: 7.30 - 8.30pm

Pilates precedes this class (offers available for both classes) 

POINTEWORK ballet classes

Our Pointe classes are for advanced levels only. If you are interested in these classes, we recommend you contact us before starting these sessions so that Rachael can assess you.

ADULT BALLET CLASSES - FIT REIGATE 

DANCE - x

Dance -Ex (dance exercise) is a class for energetic adults who want more variety from their dance classes while increasing their aerobic fitness. If you are bored of gyms or regimented classes and want to increase your fitness while stimulating your mind, then this class is for you. 

Becoming fit through the creative medium of dance is the perfect way to stimulate both mind and body, while at the same time learning new dance styles from various genres. Perfect for those who like all styles of dance and want to try out new things within the same class.
 

Led by our professional dance/fitness teacher Michelle, these classes offer variety and sequencing while you learn many different styles of dance. Michelle will take you through your paces, covering different dance genres, from stylised West-End musical theatre dances, to hip-hop, disco, line-dancing and various other styles. You’ll never get bored and there’s something for everyone.

 

Don’t worry about the “dance” word! Michelle will be concentrating on making these classes fun and accessible to all with easy steps, and you can exert the "performance energy" to suit your own body.

PILOXING - 3 in 1 workout

Piloxing is a fusion of dance, pilates and boxing, and it's a great way to stay in shape. Piloxing is a high energy workout and the combination of these 3 elements is ideal for those wanting to stay fit but don't have the time to go to the gym all week. if you only have a free 1 hour a week to spare, Piloxing is a great way to sweat.

It includes the benefits of pilates - leaner and longer muscles, with better coordination and control throughout the body. You will love the boxing elements to achieve well-defined muscle tone and mental determination, combined with dance which further improves coordination and aerobic fitness to music.

Day: Fridays

Time: 11.20 am - 12.20

Location: Colman Redland Centre, Croydon Rd, Reigate RH2 0NA

The benefits of Pilates has long been recognised as extremely beneficial. Pilates is low-impact and corrects posture and muscle alignment, using a variety of strength and endurance exercises, which has long term benefits.   

Day: Fridays

Time: 12.30pm

Price: £30 (2 classes) or £40 (6 classes)

TEACHERS

Our Adult classes are run by Rachael and Michelle. Rachael was trained at the prestigious Royal Ballet School in Richmond-upon-Thames - her ballet training is the best there is! She is also a fully trained Piloxing & Pilates instructor.

 

Michelle was trained at the renowned Performers Dance College and been a professional dancer for many years, including the West-End.
