Reigate Dance School celebrates Belfry Anniversary in Redhill
The Reigate School of Ballet & Commercial Dance have been asked to perform at the Belfry Shopping Centre in Redhill on Saturday 15th October, to celebrate the centre's 25th Anniversary.
Performance times: 1pm and 2.30pm
Since the centre's opening in October 1991, many shops have opened. Big names such as Marks and Spencer, WH Smith and Boots were invited and others soon opened. The centre transformed Redhill's shopping experience, and the town now boasts a real mix of contemporary stores and a vibrant market shopping experience.
The centre underwent a £1million facelift in 2007, which included brighter and more efficient lighting and is now a calm and pleasant area to shop.
The 25th Anniversary will involve many acts from the local area, and RSB will be providing two fifteen minute performance slots. The final line-up has not yet been decided, but will include a mixture of dance, theatre and songs from the school.
This is an additional performance in Reigate School of Ballet and Commercial Dance's already busy performance schedule this year. The dance school will again be involved in the Reigate Christmas Lights in December, and returning to Redhill to perform at the Harlequin alongside Pasha Kovalev (one of Strictly Come Dancing's professional dancers), as part of his UK tour. RSB danced alongside him in this professional gig 2 years ago, and we are thrilled to be the chosen school in Spring 2017.
RSB will also be performing at the CLASS ACT show (part of the Schools Initiative Theatre Arts Project) in May and finally our main 6-performance show will follow.
