We are extremely excited to introduce Liam Swattridge to our dance team at the Reigate School of Ballet and Commercial Dance. Liam will be heading the tap dance lessons in Reigate, and he has already made an impact at our summer school this year. He has his DDI teaching qualifications in Tap, Modern and Ballet, and his DDE in Tap and Modern.
Liam is an all-round dance teacher and was trained at the renowned 'Performers' college, and is a fantastic tap dancer! Since leaving Performers, he has performed in many professional events. He has taken part in the IDO World Tap Championships as part of the England tap team, perhaps more commonly known as TAP ATTACK in 2011 and 2013. During this time, he gained second place both times in this highly contested competition in both the Small Group and Formation sections. He later went on to perform with Tap Attack on Sky One's 'Got to Dance' (series 2). His other credits include performing atWembley in the FA Cup Final 2013, and also in the film 'Cuban Fury'. He has appeared on the BBC's Dance Proms and 'Move It'.
Despite this long list of credits, Liam has also taught tap to a high level for many years and is fully qualified with the I.S.T.D. Liam will be teaching TAP for the Reigate School of Ballet & Commercial Dance on:
MONDAYS at the Colman Redland Centre in Reigate.
Liam will be teaching ALL our tap classes on Mondays apart from our BALLET & TAP combination classes which are for the younger children.
NEVER TAPPED BEFORE?
We will be starting a BEGINNER's TAP CLASS for all ages starting Monday 31st October (after half term). £25 for 6 weeks.
