Joanne Evans, the Principal of the Reigate School of Ballet & Commercial Dance, has been appointed the Deputy Lead Examiner for Imperial Ballet at the I.S.T.D. examining board, covering all the children's examinations in the UK and abroad.
With over 27 years of teaching experience, many as Pricncipal of RSB Dance Schools, and over 15 years experience as an I.S.T.D. ballet examiner, Jo has now gained this prestigious post with the ISTD along with one other person.
We are delighted that Jo has been chosen for this prestigious post, and this can only benefit her school and being able to continue to lead her fantastic group of teachers.
The Reigate School of Ballet & Commercial Dance has long been renowned for offering quality ballet tuition to children in Reigate, Redhill and the surrounding areas. Having trained at the Royal Ballet School and exerience as a professional performer alongside her long examining career, her knowledge of this discipline can be passed on to her pupils.
Jo has also danced in the West End, and Musical Theatre along with Ballet are her passions. She overseas the Starlight Musical Theatre programme with RSB alongside Louise King (also an ex-West End performer).
We are very happy for Jo. Thee direction of the school forever seems to reach new heights and firmly sets itself as the pinnacle for dance training in the area.
