Our Milly did the Reigate School of Ballet & Commercial Dance proud on Saturday. Having taken part in the prestigious National Youth Ballet (NYB) performance on the Saddler's Wells stage in London, she came out gleaming!
The National Youth Ballet is one of the top external ballet companies for children in the UK, and picks around 100 of the best children in the country to participate in their dance shows, demonstrating a very high calibre in ballet.
She participated in 2 dance routines, with a fabulous and stylish solo in the last number in the show. At the end, awards were given out, and we were ecstatic to se her win the award for Best Dancer in within the company. WOW!!!
We couldn't have been prouder!!
The maturity behind her movements were incredible, and NYB have offered a fabulous platform for ther to be recognised by industry choreographers, including the legendary Matthew Bourne, who is a patron of NYB.
Milly has been at the Reigate School of Ballet & Commercial Dance since she was 3 years of age, and has been so focused to achieving her goal of being a professional dancer throughout her time with us. Last year, she achieved her Advanced 1 Ballet exam award at the age of 16, and was awarded a place at Central School of Ballet where she is now starting her 2nd year.
We wish Millie every success and we know she will become a star and leading figure as she continues to grow and develop.
Good luck! to you xxx
