A huge congratulations goes to Reigate School of Ballet & Commercial Dance's own Morgan, who has just been accepted to study at Laine Theatre Arts in Epsom, Surrey. This is a massive achievement and has taken many years of dance tuition to develop her skills to be considered for this top theatre school.
Morgan started learning ballet at the age of 3, and continued her ballet alongside RSB's more commercial dance training such as street dance and contemporary / lyrical dance, passing all her dance exams over the 15 years at RSB. Morgan has developed into a fabulous commercial and all-round dancer, and this has been her dream fulfilled.
The performing experience and formal dance training gained at the Reigate School of Ballet & Commercial Dance, gave her the skills to nurture her true talent.
She passed her I.S.T.D. Intermediate Modern exam in 2017 which will also enable her to give her the qualification to further study teaching the art of dance.
Morgan has also been an extremely helpful assistant at our Starlight Musical Theatre group on Saturday mornings for many years, and she will be missed at the end of this term, as the youngsters love her presence alongside our teacher.
Her last performances at RSB were at the "mini" shows in June where she performed in many dances, and sang a solo from the Greatest Showman with a live pianist.
Laine Theatre Arts is one of the top vocational theatre schools in the UK and indeed Europe. Based in Epsom, Surrey, many of their students find work in musical theatre (including many for West End ), film , television, pop music dance videos and many high profile performing based careers.
It was formed in 1974 by former dancer Betty Laine, and nowadays it is known in the industry as 'Laines'.
